I tried a map,
I tried a guide,
I never found it,
Something died.
And as hopes did I lose,
My light just to flicker,
Heart fell to disuse,
Cobwebs cover my soul.
But as I break free,
Break free of this web,
I look down to see,
The ashes that be.
So to fan the embers,
Now down on my knees,
My forgotten hope,
In front . . . I to read.
I carefully follow,
The long dotted lines,
So entwined with my sorrow,
Where to I confide.
But along the parchment,
Shining light starts to pass through,
I begin my descent,
To look upon that which I knew.
I should have looked here first,
I now shake my head in this humour,
My heart filled to burst,
I see clearly this hour.
And with all my hope I ask,
I pray to God sincere,
That this may be to last,
My whole life

Take me and I'll fulfill
Hate me and I'll smile
But make love to me
And I shall't die
